Eden

You’ve probably been hiding under a rock or ‘finding yourself’ in Nepal if word about the all-new Eden hasn’t reached your ears by now. It’s true that the club has indeed undergone a major overhaul over the winter - mainly thanks to Radio 1 big guy Pete Tong, who’s bringing his all new Wonderland concept to the club on Fridays for 2008 - one of the most highly anticipated nights of the summer.

Forget the Eden of summers past and get set to meet the Eden of clubbing future. Once inside, you can leave your ‘Brits abroad’ preconceptions at the door - with the huge club now featuring two new outdoor terraces, an ultra exclusive and very plush VIP area set directly behind the DJ box, Eden - who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year - looks set to revamp the image of San Antonio clubbing and attract a much more cosmopolitan crowd than in previous years.

Expect mind-blowing visual displays combined with ear-blowing (well, almost!) Funktion 1 sound and striking new décor in the main room (though the giant domed ceilings and railings around the balconies remain) - dancers now claim the podium where the DJ booth once lived, and the decks have been relocated to one end of the club - meaning there’s plenty more space to dance in front of the DJs as the hold court over the dance floor.

Meanwhile, the Funky Room has been given a total revamp and features more of a stripped back to basics décor and the vibe upstairs in the White Room is much more back room than its previous VIP inception - expect underground house sounds and some super cool bursting-at-the-seams parties to be hosted in here.

Looks like 2008 could be the year that the garden of Eden comes into full bloom!

Are we there yet? Taxis of course are the simplest and easiest way to find the club -just head to the San Antonio waterfront and look for the Moroccan-esque entrance (opposite Bar M and right by Es Paradis). If you do decide to drive you’ll find plenty of parking, plus regular buses (including the infamous disco bus) run all night long.
