Meet the major clubs - just don't call them super...

Meet the big eight. The clubs that helped Ibiza earn her reputation as a clubber's paradise. The venues that make Ibiza seem like Disneyland for grown-ups and the happiest place on earth. The homes to some of the biggest and best parties in the world.

But please, let's not refer to them as superclubs anymore - that's soooo circa ‘99.

Put simply, these are the clubs that will blow your mind, rock your world and change your life (or at the very least make you change your flight home!) from the very minute you walk through their hallowed doors and join the ranks of devotees inside.

From an old converted aircraft hangar to the world’s largest nightclub, Ibiza’s major clubs come in all shapes and sizes. Dotted across the island, from Ibiza Town to San Rafael and San Antonio and incorporating everything from swimming pools and restaurants to rooftop terraces and top secret VIP enclosures, there’s something for everyone, from decor and dancers to performance art and of course, the world’s best DJs doing their things night after night.

MAJOR CLUBS: THE FAST FACTS
When should I go? The clubbing season begins in the first week of June and extends til the first week of October. While the opening and closing parties are probably the most hyped events of the season, it’s fair to say that every night throughout the summer is a major event.

Where do I get tickets? You can start by planning ahead and purchasing your Ibiza club tickets right here - buying online ensures you won’t miss out and you’ll avoid the long queues on the night by heading straight to the guest list entrance. Failing that, you can pick up a ticket at the sunset bars in San Antonio or the busy pre-party bars in Ibiza Town. Other options? Head to an authorised ticket outlet - internet cafes and hotel receptions. And last, but never least, there’s the option to pay on the door, on the night at your club of choice of course! Be wary of PRs in the street or on the beach looking to sell you club tickets - while some may be legitimate, there are plenty of scammers out there looking to fleece you of your hard earned cash.

What do I wear? The choice is yours - dress up or dress down. It’s pretty basic really, as long as there’s some form of footwear on your feet and your bits are covered (nudity tends to be reserved for dancers only) you should be ok! This is Ibiza after all…
