Sunset Ashram

Cala Conte’s Sunset Ashram is a beach bar with a difference - not that we’re complaining. Perched high on the rocks between two sections of the beach, it juts out over the ocean and - as the name suggests - offers the most spectacular view of the sun sinking into the sea each and every night.

Of course, you don’t need to wait until sunset to enjoy the chilled lazy vibes of Sunset Ashram - providing chilled out beats, fantastic food and icy cold drinks - from fresh juices to blended dacquiris - to beach goers from the morning until late at night gives you plenty more reasons to visit this location.

To enjoy the sounds of the local DJs, you’ll probably need to score a seat on the busy terrace, as the sound doesn’t travel to the sands too well thanks to the sound of the waves - we’d recommend a few hours on the beach then a slow mosey on up to the bar in the late afternoon. Don’t wait too long - as the sun begins to set the bar and terrace get incredibly busy.

For those who can’t bear to leave the comfort of the sand, takeaways are available (food and drink) so you can still enjoy everything the Sunset Ashram has to offer even if you don’t take a seat - there’s even a bohemian chic boutique for those in need of a bit of retail therapy, whether it’s a new outfit to watch the sunset in or a unique piece of jewellery as a holiday souvenir.
