Bar Rafal

If you really want to experience a real local’s bar in Ibiza, look no further than Bar Rafal in Ibiza old town’s paved pedestrian area. There’s no bells and whistles here, it is simply a family owned and run bar, with simple furniture lined up outside and the cheapest beer and wine you’ll find in town and with a friendly atmosphere that keeps the same shop workers coming back for a drink during their siesta hours, day after day.

Unlike other bars in Ibiza however, there’s no table service here - you’ll need to order at the bar though they’ll happily run a tab for you. In the spirit of Ibiza, may we suggest always taking your empty glasses back to the bar when ordering another round to get in good favour with the bartenders, who’ve been running Rafal for more than 20 years, and could probably do without having to ever clean another glass again!

INSIDER’S TIP: Try the anchovy stuffed olives served at the bar - the best on the island.
