Noctambula

Celebrating 10 years on the island in 2008 are Oscar, Manu-L and Steven - aka, the Noctambula family. Quite possibly the coolest bar by anyone’s standards in Ibiza, Noctambula sits perched atop a stone staircase in the Sa Penya area, and the bar itself has been craved out of the solid rock that formed the foundation of the old castle. Throughout summer, the staircase has become as much a part of the bar as the furniture or DJ booth - there are as many people sitting on the stairs as there are on the terrace most nights.

As a birthday present to themselves, the guys have given the bar a makeover and are introducing some new resident DJs, and given their current strong musical connections - last year Noctambula hosted parties in the Cocoloco room at Privilege, Manu-L is responsible for the hugely successful Minimal Hospital parties, Oscar ran the ultra cool Class ’88 during winter and they have strong ties to DC10 - we can only expect more deep electronic and minimal tunes to be echoing out onto the terrace this summer.

Of course, with Noctambula being such a music-centric bar, don’t be surprised if you see the entire spectrum of CircoLoco or Monza residents gracing the stairs over the course of an evening along with the who’s who of local promoters, DJs, clubbers and the ultra-fashionable Italian set.
