Aura

It looks to us as though Team Aura have been incredibly busy over the past winter - rather than serve up traditional Sunday roasts to the island’s small yet discerning group of winter residents as was their previous custom, they instead closed the doors of what was once a cosy-yet-spacious English pub-style restaurant and gave her one of the most dramatic makeovers the island has ever seen!

Gone are the plush dark leather couches - in fact, gone is everything that was previously part of Aura! The room has been completely opened up to make the most of huge round day-bed Moroccan style booths, completely covered in comfy cushions, with divine tangerine, peach and gold making up the colour scheme.

Amazingly crafted light fittings hand dramatically from the roof and above each of the bars - and may we mention here that the all-new cocktail bar features ‘mixologists’ flown in especially from London to create, shake and make exclusive-to-Aura cocktails while you taste the modern delicious tapas from the kitchen.

The outdoor area is ablaze with lanterns and cosy seating, meaning you can enjoy the balmy Ibiza early evenings while later on, inside becomes a dancefloor thanks to resident DJ Nima Gorji and guests - with some very special guests and parties lined up for summer 2008, it looks like Aura is about to become a permanent fixture on the Ibiza party scene.

Quite frankly, we think the all-new Aura is like the supermodel of the Ibiza bar/restaurant scene - a striking, stunning and sophisticated space that would not be out of place in New York or London.
