In keeping with Ibiza’s current obsession with all things from Berlin, it makes sense that our favourite new fashion find is A Substitute For Love, an amazing store (having expanded to Ibiza from Berlin) in the heart of the old town, located just beside the corner where Calle De La Virgen begins – you’ll spot it instantly thanks to the warm beams of light emanating from the doorway.

Stepping through the illuminated entry gives the feeling of stepping into an MTV film clip – think futuristic Kylie, Madonna, JT – and the fashions on the railings (along with the ultra quirky toys and accessories behind the counter) live up to expectations. From eclectic ravewear such as fluoro parachute full-length ponchos and sparkling silver tracksuits to stunning, sophisticated and stylish silk dresses, amazing all-in-one playsuits for girls and funky trainers, stylish shorts and uber-cool tees for boys, plus exclusive one-off jewellery pieces to really add that finishing touch to your outfit.

Behind the counter, you’ll find the perfect gifts for those friends who have everything (or just indulging your inner child), from blocks of soap in the shape of a revolver to eccentric toys, vintage sunglasses and kooky artwork – the only thing is, once you start shopping here, it’s almost addictive…
