One of the many – and in our opinion one of the best – beach restaurants dotting the shores of Ibiza is Yemanja, a fine dining experience with a rustic twist on Cala Jondal.
Huge dark wooden tables and umbrellas made from palm leaves are dotted across the sand while sun loungers sit just in front of the water, in case you decide to hope between your meal and a spot of sunbathing. Most amazing are the striking red cliffs that frame Cala Jondal’s edges – you’d be hard pressed to find a more picture perfect place for a long leisurely lunch in the sun.
Fresh seafood is Yemanja’s specialty – the minute you’re seated you’ll be welcomed with a plate of delicious salty anchovies just to whet your appetite! Every kind of fish dish imaginable is available along with one of the island’s finest selections of salad menus – and the prices are surprisingly pleasing on the wallet!
WHAT TO ORDER: The paella at Yemanja is rumoured to be the best on the island – who are we to argue?![]()
