Comidas San Juan

Hidden behind an imposing double wooden door in Ibiza’s old town is one of the most popular and bustling places on the island. If you think the queues to get into the clubs are manic, then wait until you see the waiting list for a table here each night – sometimes up to 40 names waiting to be seated.

Thankfully, the back door and outdoor seating area are directly opposite our favourite drinking hole, Lo Cura, making the wait a lot more bearable.

You can trust us when we tell you the wait is well worth it – locals flock here for the traditional Ibicencan style cooking, huge portions and quite possibly the cheapest prices of any restaurant on the island. You can order a steak with chips and salad for under 5€ here – that’s less than you could buy the ingredients from in most restaurants.

With tables squashed closely together inside and communal tables outside, the turnover is fast in Comidas San Juan – service is speedy, food is delivered to your table quickly and the atmosphere is fun and friendly.

With everything from fish, chicken and steak through to vegetarian friendly salads and rice dishes on the menu (which is purely in Spanish and Catalan so brush up on your food words before you go), the beauty of Comidas San Juan is that it’s so cheap you can order everything!
